Summary: The Unit Secretary I assists the Team Leader/Charge Registered Nurse by coordinating non-clinical activities on a nursing unit. Responsibilities include initiating the processing of physician's orders and managing information flow among nursing staff, physicians, ancillary departments, patients and other unit guests.

SUMMARY: The Radiology/Cardiology Nurse Clinician is responsible for the overall delivery of nursing care during cardiac catheterization (diagnostic and interventional procedures). EP studies (ablations, tilt tables, cardioversions, AICD and pacemaker implants) Dobutamine Stress testing and Transesophageal echocardiograms. The Cardiology Nurse Clinician also works with the technical staff in Nuclear Medicine to provide nursing care for those patients receiving radiopharmaceutical for the purpose of diagnostic procedures. The safe and effective delivery of sedation and recovery of those patients receiving sedation is the responsibility of the Cardiology Nurse Clinician. The Cardiology Nurse Clinician responds to all emergencies in the department (invasive and non-invasive labs) and those emergencies throughout the hospital requiring the Intra Aortic Balloon Pump. The Cardiology Nurse oversees the transition of patients from the Cath Lab to hospital units or to other facilities.

Required Education: G raduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Required License: MD Nursing License and ACLS certified.
