<title><![CDATA[Manager Strategic Planning Strategic Planning - (Saint Agnes Hospital, Maryland)]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[BA or BS <br><br/> <br><br/> Minimum of 3 years of experience <br><br/> <br><br/> SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, Strategic Planning, the Manager of Strategic Planning is r esponsible for the daily management of organizational resources in strategic planning for the purpose of focusing and strengthening Saint Agnes’ market position, financial performance, operational performance, and quality and safety initiatives as well as providing strategic, operational and clinical analytics that enhance organizational decision-making. The Manager of Strategic Planning serves as an internal consultant to administrative leaders and physicians throughout the organization in the areas of market assessment, health planning regulation, clinical program development, operational and clinical analysis and performance monitoring. <br/><br/>The Manager exercises his/her technical expertise, administrative knowledge, and experience to supervise department staff in developing and fulfilling department and Saint Agnes HealthCare goals, strategies and objectives. Duties include supporting the development of a variety of strategic, business, and operational plans, coordinating compliance with all Ascension requirements regarding strategic plans and feasibility studies, maintaining a current and thorough knowledge of all matters relative to the Maryland Health Care Commission, and the development and production of performance monitoring tools. These responsibilities include managing the deployment of technology and analytical staff to synthesize and integrate information from disparate database systems, perform complex evaluation and analysis, and develop written and oral reports. <br/><br/>The Manager exercises independent judgment within the guidelines determined by the Assistant Vice President, Strategic Planning. This position also i nterfaces with Quality & Patient Safety department to assess analytical reporting needs, decision support objectives and regulatory compliance goals in relation to reporting system capabilities. <br/><br/>Required Education: Bachelor's degree in health/business or related field <br/><br/>Required Experience: Three to five years of directly related experience in strategic planning, market analysis, clinical decision support, informatics, and data analysis in a health care setting or consulting environment. Experience/knowledge of the Maryland healthcare regulatory environment. <br/><br/>Required Competencies/Behaviors: <br/><br/>A results orientation accompanied by the skill set required to conceptualize, implement, and operationalize a user-friendly decision support model. A comfort level with research methodology, data analysis, and the presentation of data to administrative and clinical leaders The ability to work with diverse stakeholders and to partner with, and influence others in the design and implementation of a comprehensive decision support function. <description><![CDATA[High School Diploma/GED <br><br/> <br><br/> SUMMARY: The qualified interpreter provides a number of services to promote full accessibility to medical services for specified populations of non-English speaking patients and their families. These include but are not limited to interpreting, health care coordination, and information/ referral. The interpreter functions as cultural competency resource for both staff and patients. He/She also assists with outreach activities in the applicable Language Community as well as carries out responsibilities in accordance with Ascension Health Core Values, St. Agnes policies/procedures and applicable civil laws. The interpreter is accountable for efficient use of resources and support of the St. Agnes mission. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with service. The interpreter maintains communication skills required to persuade or gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas and also i nstructs the patient of required preparation for procedures and tests. This qualified associate relates to a wide variety of providers and hospitals as needed to coordinate care; communicates with external contacts frequently, providing or receiving factual information, and is responsible to ensure ongoing service. External communications involve provision of a service, representing the organization at public meetings and ability to deal with sensitive situations/information. It also involves handling complaints, making adjustment, corrections, etc. Courtesy and tact are required in dealing with customers. <br/><br/>Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Able to pass a proficiency test for medical terminology. <br/><br/>Required License, Certification and/or Registration (by Law/Regulation/Hospital): Certificate of completion of a recognized interpreter training program. Successful completion of interpreter skills and ethics course with medical language testing in English and target language. <br/><br/>Required Experience: Fully bilingual in English and target language.]]></description>
